Voter ID Laws Revisited & What To Know About Gap Insurance
Click HERE To Listen: 09-12-12 Paul Samakow
Paul and Andy talked the entire time about photo Voter ID laws.? Paul related opposite results in cases in Texas and Pennsylvania.? In the Texas case, a Federal Court blocked that state?s law requiring photo ID?s, indicating the law placed an unfair burden on the poor, thus, adversely affecting minorities, African American and Hispanic individuals, who most often are among that lower economic class.? In contrast, in Pennsylvania, a court ruled that the prospect of the same type of law was not discriminatory, and that fears of problems on Election Day did not justify overruling the law.
The topic has been discussed before here, and Andy reiterated his thoughts that it would be a simple fix, just go get a photo ID. Paul offered that doing that might not always be so easy, because of cost.? Paul offered that he felt the states should pay for the cost. Andy agreed.
This topic will continue as one of significant importance right up until the election.
Paul?s tip of the day involved automobile GAP insurance.? To find out what it is and why you should have it, listen to the segment.
