why are they afraid? windows 8 is a myth like a unicorn

Why they are afraid? Cuz we all know a tablet is just big smartphone and that's it. Win8 is just anything but that ... And yes they are afraid cuz everyone with some common sense will go and even consider Win8 tablet instead of iPad, cuz you have a full working PC in your hands. That's why this unicorn is a myth but we all have seen it ;)

so you actually think windows 8 is a myth? seriously, you should not make any comment unless you read tech news for the next 1 year....

I am not a tablet person, but I am hopeful WP8 on the market will be a success. Not because I think Microsoft needs it, but because I think the consumer and these other manufacturers need it. I have no doubt Android Tablets will at some point produce a runaway hit, but until one strikes gold, wouldn't it be nice to see Apple up their game due to competition to the iPad as opposed to making small improvements if they feel like it?

Not meaning to sound negative to Apple. No company would invest more money than it has to if it has the product everyone wants and is assured a hit. If Android and WP8 do not threaten the iPad's success, why would they up their game?

Two iPads same year? I don't think so. Perhaps an iPhone 5 then an iPad 3.

No way does Apple market products like this--if this were even remotely close as being true--The ipad 2 & 3 would not even be considered anymore. I only believe the ipad 3 release for March---and that's it.....

This truly would be awful news for ifans if its true, after all they just bought an ipad2 so they MUST buy the the ipad 3 in 3 months time and then the apple pr guff will compel them to buy the ipad 4 a few months later in October. Each device being almost the exact same but each new ipad is a 'new' one so they must buy it as it changes everything again again.

Its definitely a sign of apple running scared of the top android tabs coming this year and the window tabs also but they no doubt will score massive cash sales from ifans upgrading model to model.

This is exciting. Apple and Microsoft going head to head again, it's like a deja vu of the beginning of the Mac vs PC era.

tablets are pointless
